Thoughts on the Winter 2017 season? (/a/meta)

I just wanna see what other people think about the new season.

Personally, as a fan of Slice of Life and Comedy shows, this season has been a joy. I've picked up about 11 shows and am enjoying most of them immensely. Here are the shows I'm following and my brief thoughts on them.

Akiba's Trip The Animation

A silly and fun Monster of the Week show, with interesting tidbits on various niche hobbies and the culture in Akihabara. Worth watching but I wouldn't insist on it.

Demi-chan wa Kataritai

A soothing Slice of Life focusing on the daily lives of monster girls, such as vampires, duhallans and succubus, and the tribulations they face. Unlike Monster Musume, this show is a lot less ecchi and more relaxing. Definitely worth a watch, especially if you like monster girls.

Gabriel Dropout

Some may disagree with me but this is an exceptional comedy with standout characters. Satanichia in particular is an absolute darling. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a laugh.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon

I'm a big fan of the manga and I have to say, KyoAni have outdone themselves again with Maid Dragon. They did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life.

Konosuba 2

Not much to say here. If you liked the first season, this is more of the same.

Kuzu no Honkai

A fairly unique take on romance shows. I find myself dreading watching it every week, just because of how much it spirals down into chaos each episode, but I still enjoy it.

Little Witch Academia

It's cute, it's fun, it's Harry Potter with cute girls. What's not to like? The writing is great, the animation is well done, as expected of Trigger, and the characters are a bundle of fun.

Nyanko Days

Watch this. It's literally only 2 minutes of cute catgirls a week. Take that two minutes you were gonna spend on YouTube and just watch this instead.

One Room

A strange debut anime in the first person perspective, this feels like they took a visual novel and just slapped it into a video. I'm only subjecting myself to this because it's 4 minutes per episode. Do not watch unless you're a masochist.

It started off fine, with well written characters, albeit slightly cringey dialogue, but the plot was sped up too quickly at the end of the first arc and I'm left disappointed. I suppose you'd like this if you're a fan of Amagami SS.
